  • Clare Beach

    Clare Beach was elected on to the Association of British Professional Conference Organisers (ABPCO) Board in 2014 – 2018 and continues to benefit hugely from the professional, relevant networking and sharing of knowledge that being a member of the association provides. Clare is particularly passionate about making events as sustainable as possible and enjoys working with clients and suppliers to come up with creative ideas to reduce the impact of our events on the environment as much as possible.

    Clare Beach, PCO and Managing Director of Azura Events Limited is renowned for her hard working enthusiasm, ‘can do’ attitude and attention to detail, and her clients have come to expect nothing else. Her experience in the conference industry has been spent in both commercial as well as not-for-profit organisations. Clare is a list Queen and prides herself on attention to detail.

    When not organising conferences Clare enjoys spending time with her family, cooking and baking for friends and family, practising yoga, sailing, canoeing, singing in a community choir and being by the sea. In fact, Clare firmly believes that a walk along the river or sea solves most things in life!

  • Rose Padmore

    Since founding Opening Doors & Venues in 2000, Rose has successfully organised conferences and events of all sizes and complexities for diverse clients regionally, nationally, and internationally. A full and active member of ABPCO for over 10 years, Rose served on the executive board between 2015 – 2018, standing as co-chair in 2017. Her greatest strengths are team motivation & management, attention to detail, creativity & innovation, strategic planning, and communication, all, when linked with her passion to fully understand what a client wants an event to look and feel like and, more importantly, what it needs to achieve, means excellent results.

    Rose and Clare met in 2015 through ABPCO, The Association of British Professional Conference Organisers, where they became industry colleagues and friends. After a few years of sharing experiences, they identified that, as independent PCO’s, their mutual passion for organising exceptional conferences, would, if they supported each other, provide clients with a strong and resilient service. So that’s what they did! They are now an extension of each other’s team.

    Down time for Rose is shared between her local community, particularly through her much loved role as Authorised Lay Minister at church, and a nearby sailing club where Rose and her husband regularly sail together on a reservoir in their 14 foot wooden Enterprise dinghy.

  • Madalina Marincas

    Madalina graduated in 2012 with a BA Hons in Event Management followed by an MA in Marketing for Events from University College Birmingham, and has been working in the conference and event industry since university. Her greatest strengths are an undeniable determination to see a task through, her calm composure under pressure and her resolve to give those attending an event the best experience possible. Being reliable is at the core of her work ethic, but of utmost importance for Madalina is for the client, delegate, speaker and supplier to know they can place their absolute trust in her. Being able to speak and understand several languages also comes in very useful on-site at international events.

    Madalina is a key member of the team having worked with Rose at Opening Doors & Venues since 2011 and specifically has an excellent working knowledge of the EventsAir event management platform that is integral to Azura’s accurate conference delivery service. She has been supporting Azura Events Ltd in various roles since 2015.

    Madalina enjoys sports and the outdoors, particularly tennis, walking and a little bit of rock climbing. An avid reader, she is convinced there’s little more relaxing than a good book, especially if enjoyed out in the sun!

  • Sarah Brooks

    Sarah took up a permanent position at Opening Doors & Venues in 2018, having worked with the team on a freelance basis for several conferences since 2014, as registration support, exhibitor co-ordinator and general hands-on problem solver and fixer.

    When not in front of a screen, you can usually find Sarah camping in the great outdoors with her partner and dog. Sarah is a Basic Expedition Leader (BEL) with Silver Navigation, First Aid (indoors and outdoors) and regularly spends her weekends as an Expedition Supervisor and Assessor, working with young people as part of the Duke of Edinburgh Award Programme.
