ParkInn by Radisson, May 2019“We had the pleasure of working with Clare Beach and her team for The British Medical Laser Association Educational Courses and Annual Conference here at Radisson Hotel & Conference Centre London Heathrow on 8-10th May 2019. Our involvement with them from start to finish was always friendly and professional. They were extremely thorough in their planning, in plenty of time ahead of the event and communication was accurate and clear. They clearly had a focus on integrity in their approach to the conference planning and delivery. All our staff here really enjoyed working with them and appreciated their inclusive approach as part of the extended conference delivery team.”
“I have no hesitation in recommending them as a great team to work with and we hope to welcome you back to the venue again soon.”
Carla Rickett, Meetings & Events Revenue Manager, ParkInn by Radisson
British Medical Laser Association, May 2020I have been involved with Clare Beach and her team at Azura Events since 2014 when we began planning the BMLA 2015 Conference in Brighton. We have not looked back! They have ably led our association forward ever since, enabling our organisation to become more professional and streamlined in the process. Our members and conference delegates always comment on how well organised everything is now.
At all stages of the planning process the attention to all the details (big and small) when viewing potential venues, engaging with suppliers, communicating with delegates, supporting speakers, negotiating with sponsors and exhibitors always displays the integrity that they pride themselves on.
It is always a pleasure to work with Clare and her team, not only with our annual conferences but with the organisation of our membership, committees, and the development of our web platforms.
In recent weeks we have been extremely appreciative of the calm way Clare has managed the COVID-19 situation on our behalf. Liaising with all our suppliers to postpone our May 2020 event to May 2021 and competently communicating with our delegates and suppliers to keep them up to date with the situation.
I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Clare and the Azura Events team.

World Muscle Society, May 2020“I have been working with Clare Beach and the Azura Events team since 2016. At the time I was organising as Co-Chair, the international meeting of the World Muscle Society (WMS) held in Saint Malo, France on October 2017. Since then, I continue to work with Azura Events team, as Treasurer of the WMS and as such a member of the Program committee of the annual meetings of the society.”
“For five years, having been involved in the organisation of 5 annual meetings of the society in close interaction with Clare Beach and the Azura Event team, I can attest how highly professional Clare Beach and her team are.”
“The WMS annual meetings gather about 700 to 900 attendees from 30-40 different countries which necessitate organising venues and negotiating sponsorship, developing specific accountancy and local tax negotiations, together with high interactions with local DMC’s and academic committees in order to set up high level scientific academic programs as well as associated social events.”
“In all this, the Azura Events team has always demonstrated and continue to exhibit an exceptionally skilled approach to communication and leadership as well as total accuracy in reporting, strong integrity, and complete reliability. The team has shown resourcefulness and unlimited creativity. All along the different steps of the meeting preparations, necessary processes are always appropriately prioritised and completed in due time. Accountancy has always been perfect, and everything go smoothly thanks to their professional work. And on top of this always with a smile and enthusiasm. Along the last five years, Clare Beach and her team have demonstrated their professionalism at all levels and instil true confidence in them.”
“I have therefore no hesitation in recommending Clare Beach and the Azura Events team.”
Gisèle Bonne, PhD. Research Director at Inserm.
The World Muscle Society“I have worked with Clare Beach in my different functions first as Treasurer and then as President of the World Muscle Society. This involved, over the last five years, organising four international academic congresses in different countries and on different continents. These congresses were attended by 700 to 1000 attendees from 30-40 different countries and required setting up a high level academic program, organising venues and negotiating sponsorship, developing specific accountancy and tax negotiations as well as relating to local PCOs and academic committees.”
“In all of these dealings Clare Beach has shown an exceptional level of professionalism combined with a sound and level-headed judgement. Processes were always appropriately prioritised and duly completed in time. Accountancy was immaculate. Academic considerations were taken into prompt account. In addition to making the cogwheels turn smoothly in what was always complex undertaking, Clare Beach profits from her extensive experience in congress organisation and the running of academic societies, and is capable of combining this with smart anticipation. The latter is very much needed if settings are not completely standardised as you would expect if you organise world congresses on different continents.”
“In all of these proceedings, which involved times of high work intensity and sometimes navigating conflicting interests, Clare Beach displayed her affable nature and great sense of humour – certainly qualities that make life and collaboration so much more pleasant and easier.”
Professor Thomas Voit, UCL GOS Institute of Child Health, London

Annual Conference Spring 2018
Friday 27th April 2018, Regent’s Conference Centre, London“Azura Events have once again provided us with excellent conference organisation and management services, this time for the 2018 Spring Conference of the British Society for Gene and Cell Therapy, held in London in April. Their competence, expertise, efficiency and friendliness made the conference a complete success both scientifically and financially, and it was a pleasure to work with them. We would recommend Clare Beach and her Azura Events team without hesitation.”

Cardiff, UK“I had the pleasure of working with Clare during her time running events for the British Society for Gene and Cell Therapy (BSGCT). As chair of the Local Organising Committee for the BSGCT 2017 event in Cardiff, Clare and I worked closely together to deliver a conference that will live long in the memory. Clare and her team were simply superb to work with – incredibly well organised, always going the extra mile to deliver conferences that run like clockwork. No stone was left unturned, and every detail was attended to, and Clare and her team were consummate professionals. It was an absolute pleasure to work with Clare and her team and I have no reservation in recommending Clare and the Azura Events team to anybody looking to deliver a memorable conference.

The 22nd World Muscle Society Congress
Saint Malo in October 2017“Dear Clare, I’m really pleased to provide you with a brief testimonial.
We have been working together for 2 years or so to prepare for this event. I’m so glad that Francesco Muntoni who co organised the WMS Brighton meeting in 2015, recommended Azura Events to help us in this venture of organising this large international meeting. You and your whole team have been so professional all along the different steps of this long trip together. Everything went smoothly thanks to your professional work! And on top of this always with smile and enthusiasm.
Many thanks once again!!

2017 British Society for Gene and Cell Therapy meeting at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Dance
Cardiff“Working with Clare and the Azura Events team to deliver the 2017 British Society for Gene and Cell Therapy meeting at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Dance in Cardiff has been an absolute delight from start to finish. Clare was the epitome of professionalism throughout and, together with her team, helped us to deliver a wonderful event that ran smoothly and efficiently, and which was uniformly lauded by delegates, speakers and sponsors alike. Organising the event from over a year in advance of the conference, Clare made visits to Cardiff to view potential conference venues, headquarter hotels and venues for the conference banquets, and was in constant dialogue with key personnel at each venue to ensure smooth running of the event. This attention to detail was key to delivering am amazing conference for the ~350 delegates, and a truly spectacular conference banquet. In addition, Clare took care to deal with all the requirements of invited speakers including communication and invites related to the conference, travel arrangements and reimbursements, and hotel bookings, and was always “on site” during the conference to deal with any potential issues. In addition to her organisational skills for the conference, Clare also negotiated with potential sponsors for the conference and helped to bring in record amounts of sponsorship, thus enabling the society to turn over a healthy profit from the event. In short, Clare and her team delivered a magnificent event, within budget and which ran like clockwork. I have no hesitation in wholeheartedly recommending Clare and her team to anyone considering organising a conference, and I would like to personally thank Clare and her wonderful team for organising a conference that will live long in the memory in Cardiff.”
Alan Parker, BSGCT 2017 Conference Chair.
European Conference on Donor Health and Management (ECDHM)I worked with Clare to successfully deliver the European Conference on Donor Health and Management (ECDHM) for over 200 delegates which was held in Cambridge in July 2016. Throughout the lifetime of the conference, Clare and her expert team provided a professional, efficient and above all experienced service. The conference was a great success. It was delivered on time, within budget and received massively positive feedback from delegates. Much of Clare’s work took place behind the scenes, where she used her expertise to meet the needs of organisers, suppliers, delegates and speakers. It was a pleasure to work with Clare and I have no hesitation in recommending her. I look forward to working with her again in the future.

The 20th International Congress of the World Muscle Society
Brighton Dome, Brighton, 2015“The help and support we received from Clare Beach and her team at Azura events, without doubt, made this the best World Muscle Society Congress ever. We have received the most amazing positive feedback from delegates all over the world complementing us on the organisation, venue, food and congress dinner.”
Dr Ros Quinlivan, Congress Co-Chair“Dear Clare, a brief testimonial from me as chair of the local organizing committee.
As you know we did some ground work ahead of commissioning the work to Azura Events. The references were excellent and of close colleagues so this helped us to finalise the decision to work with you for the organisation of the world muscle society meeting 2015. Since the very first meeting it became clear that to work with you was going to be easy. You have always immediately understood the issues debated; you have always been proactive and efficient in the way you have dealt with the various steps that, for 2 years, allowed us to work towards this important event. While many people can be efficient, not all are also pleasant and friendly to work with! To work with you and members of your team has been very easy and pleasant. Every single emails I have received from delegates to this meeting in Brighton have mentioned the excellence of the administrative organization. Both you and your team have helped to make a good scientific event also a pleasant one, so congratulations also to you for the success of this world congress.
While I might not be organizing another one of these specific meetings in the foreseeable future as they will now be travelling in other continents, I certainly would be delighted to organize another meeting with you in the future. Many thanks once again”

British Society of Gene and Cell Therapy (BSGCT) and the British Society of Cardiovascular Research (BSCR) Joint Meeting
Glasgow, June 2015“I have been working with Clare Beach at Azura Events for almost a year now, and have been enormously impressed with the service. I have long experience of organising scientific meetings and have used companies from the very small to the European Society of Cardiology (ESC), which has a large dedicated staff to oversee its 30,000 delegate annual meeting. The present meeting being organised by Azura Events is complex, since it is joint between the British Society of Gene and Cell Therapy (BSGCT) and the British Society of Cardiovascular Research (BSCR). It showcases the three BHF Centres of Regenerative Medicine (CRM). I am on the organising committees of the BSGCT and BSCR meetings, and am Director of one CRM. I have been very happy with the efficiency of the programme development which was completed well in advance. Clare Beach has been highly effective keeping all the complex issues on track, including balancing budgets between the societies and with the CRM. She was proactive in seeking out the venues and advising on social events. There was a great deal of energy put into finding sponsorship, and Azura Events has been better at this than any company I have worked with, including the ESC (which has an established database of sponsors). I would certainly use Azura Events in the futher and recommend to others.”

Professor Harry Moseley, BMLA President, Ninewells Hospital & Medical School, Dundee“Just completed 33rd British Medical Laser Association conference in Brighton 15 – 17 April 2015, with Clare Beach and her team at Azura Events as PCO. If anyone out there is thinking of engaging Clare Beach for your event, don’t think, just do it. You will not have one iota bit cause to regret. You can’t get more professional than Clare. Hope to have you for 34th and plus.”

The Meetings Show
Olympia, London, 2013, 2014, 2015“I really enjoyed working with Clare who displayed the highest levels of professionalism, commitment and sheer hard work in putting together the highly commended Education Programme for The Meetings Show UK. Extremely flexible, accessible, focussed on delivery and straightforward to work with. Great colleague to have.”
Paul Kennedy MBE, Strategic Business Advisor at The Meetings Show UK“Clare showed her potential to me by doing a great job for a new conference recently. The educational design, working with an entirely new team, handling speakers and planning were all done professionally. Long days and even weekends were needed and not exceptional. Clare is the perfect support for any PCO or any association or corporate conference organizer. A great addition to a team as she is kind, patient and diplomatic.”
Maarten Vanneste, Meeting Industry Leadership Award recipient at MPI RISE AWARDS 2011, Orlando , Florida, USA.“As a speaker at a major event organised by Clare the information requested of me and supplied to me was both timely and efficient making my job pain free.”
Steve Elliott, Managing Director, Blackberry Productions“Clare is such a pleasure to work with. She is very professional, knows her job, communicates well and at the same time expects people to respond professionally also. She was always on top of the situation and no matter how much pressure she was under, did everything with her wonderful smile. I am very happy to recommend her.”

British Society of Gene and Cell Therapy Annual Conference
Royal Holloway, University of London, 2013“Once again Clare has excelled in her ability to efficiently coordinate all facets of the 2013 British Society for Gene Therapy conference, which ran like clockwork. Attendance this year was at an all-time high with speakers from 10 countries attracting 700 attendees to scientific and public sessions. Equally successful were the poster and networking session, as was the conference dinner and social activities. Clare achieves these results through hard work, punctuality, quick responses and a strong motivation. Basically, she gets the job done.”

Gene and Cell Therapy for Inherited Metabolic Diseases Meeting
Royal Holloway, University of London, 2013“I would like to send my thanks to you and your team for your assistance which ensured the success of the recent meeting. Your help in the lead up to the meeting was invaluable, and we thank you for liaising with the venue, arranging catering, handling enquiries, dealing with all the registrations and distribution of information before the meeting. The hard work you put in on the actual day ensured the meeting ran problem-free and our 70 delegates enjoyed the day. Your input and professionalism throughout was a major factor in the success of the conference.”

They are responsive to the client’s needs, understand and respect the budget, are attentive and imaginative in the preparation stages often leading to an end result beyond the client’s hopes and expectations.”
Lady Susie Sainsbury of Turville, Sainsbury Laboratory, Cambridge“Clare was a consummate professional throughout, starting by gaining a detailed brief from an exacting client, then working to a very tight timetable to bring together all the jigsaw pieces necessary to deliver a seamless event. I recommend her services as an event organiser for both formal, and more relaxed events. You can be assured that she will have everything in hand.”

Winslow Town Council Olympic Torch Relay 2012
Winslow, Buckinghamshire“Thanks for all the planning and preparation which went into Winslow’s involvement must go to many people and first among those should be Janine Beattie of Optimum Business Support and Clare Beach of Azura Events. The passage of the Olympic Torch Relay through Winslow was a huge success and we have heard from people on the support vehicles that it was one of the best turnouts on the whole route to date. Janine and Clare gave their time freely to support Winslow Town Council by organising street entertainment, liasing with the schools and local sports organisations and also volunteered to be Local Lead Stewards working with Bucks County Council and AVDC…You did Winslow Proud!”
Llew Monger, Mayor of Winslow, Buckinghamshire“Winslow Town Council worked with Clare Beach of Azura Events recently to organise events incidental to the Olympic Torch Relay coming through town on Monday 9th July 2012. The brief was to ensure that the town, and in particular the school got the most out of this once in a lifetime opportunity. Clare and her colleague Janine Beattie of Optimum Business Support worked particularly with the School who were encouraged to host schools from the surrounding areas thereby hopefully reducing the traffic impact on the town – there were several logistics required here, not least the toilet requirements of up to 1,000 under 11year olds! and ensuring access to school for coaches. It was agreed that entertainment during the long wait for the torch would be key – Clare organised a drumming group and various other volunteer street entertainment – but with no street closure except for the torch itself to pass this could have proved a logistical nightmare. Council was keen to keep visitors in town to fully appreciate what Winslow has to offer and to ensure local traders received a much needed boost to footfall. Within the tight strictures of the Olympic Movement – no one, private, public or charity may benefit from use of the logo or key words so a sports and fitness fair was organised on the Market Square. Aylesbury Vale District Council (owners of the Square which is usually a car park) agreed to lose revenue for the day, local organisations were invited to attend and showcase their activities – football and tennis clubs and many others attended signing up new members and putting on displays before and after the torch itself passed by. Refreshments for the long wait were needed and so to fill in the gaps not provided for by local cafes and pubs, local coffee and ice cream vendors were brought in and strategically placed along the route. Next came mementos – together we settled on school children attending local schools receiving a commemorative bookmark (IOC compliant of course!) – this was achieved through securing sponsorship from local businesses, and were delivered to the relevant schools, playgroups and residential homes for distribution before the end of term. Finally, decorating the town ready to welcome the torch… we were very fortunate to have been donated 2.8miles of bunting, hundreds of flags, tableware and other patriotic and symbolic goodies by a local party company Amscan. The donors, pubs and the usual organisers joined the committee in stringing the bunting and distributing the flags. Every opportunity for publicity was considerately fed to local news editors, but it had to be exceptional to get any column inches – pub regulars up ladders with bunting and flags finally did the trick. In the final weeks of preparation Clare & Janine also took on the Local County Council Organising Committee role of Lead Stewards for Winslow, recruiting and briefing some 50 volunteers to keep the crowds informed and safe, ensure that traffic flowed until the torch arrived and provide/supervise off street parking. The day dawned and all was ready – despite the atrocious weather of previous weeks it was dry! but off street parking was to be scarce due to torrential rain the afternoon before – whilst putting up the final decorations of course! Volunteers all arrived on time and with enthusiasm, were briefed and even breakfasted thanks to Clare’s foresight – and were sent out at 8.30am to keep the streets safe. About 15 minutes before planned, crowds were such that Clare decided to implement the road closure and informed the county control room accordingly, the bells rang, the band marched, jugglers and acrobats performed for the crowds and then the police outriders arrived high fiving and heralding that the torch was imminent. It came and was gone in a flash, carried through town by 4 people – 3 from relatively nearby whose supporters were well located to capture the relevant handover/”kiss” points. Children were given priority to return to school for picnic lunches under strategically placed gazebos and an afternoon of Olympic activities – including visits from the drummers and torchbearers – and the crowds followed the torch to the centre of town to exchange Torch stories and sample the activities on the Market Square. Lead Stewards Clare & Janine eventually stood the stewards down and headed off to Aylesbury for the County debrief – no time for them to enjoy the buzz they had created! For some weeks Council has been receiving positive feedback about the day (not one single complaint!) and the final paperwork has now been completed – all this really was achieved within budget thanks to the ingenuity and persuasive skills of the organising team. Clare’s unflagging enthusiasm throughout the frustrations of officialdom and changing goalposts ensured that Winslow very definitely had a day to remember – recorded by her band of skilled photographers we now have the most wonderful electronic scrapbook to remind us just how much Winslow enjoyed the day that residents felt more proud than usual to say they live Winslow – the place that gave the best welcome to the Torch. AVDC Chairman Derek Isham, from Buckingham, reported to his next meeting that Winslow had really pulled out all the stops and put their larger neighbours Buckingham and Aylesbury in the shade.”

British Society for Gene Therapy Annual Conference
Institute of Child Health, University College, London, 2012“I was fortunate enough to be introduced to Clare through my role as a board member for the BSGCT. Recently, I have worked much more closely with her because I was a member of the local organising committee for our annual conference in 2011 (held jointly with the European Society), by leading the local organising committee for this year’s BSGCT meeting and running a satellite meeting for Gene and Cell Therapy for Inherited Metabolic Disease. Clare is extremely professional, very friendly and her assistance has been of great value to the society and to me personally. Whilst organising the two most recent conferences, Clare was immensely organised, able to make constructive suggestions to improve the conference and solved any problems I challenged her with. She had input from the earliest planning stages and was happy to be involved to whatever level was required; from arranging teleconferences and taking minutes to interacting directly with suppliers and venues, acting as an independent event organiser. Even though Clare works for the BSGCT on a flexible basis, she never fails to respond to requests or messages promptly. Her services were instrumental in ensuring that our conferences were delivered on time, within budget, and without anything being overlooked. Feedback we received from delegates about information provided before the conferences, management of registration and assistance during the event was very positive, confirming that Clare was always courteous, professional and helpful. Clare has no problem adapting to dealing with varying numbers of people, handling conferences for 300, 800 and 150 people, as well as members of the society and board on an individual basis. I have no hesitation in recommending Clare and Azura Events to you. The service that she has provided as general secretariat to the BSGCT, her conference support and organisational skills have been faultless.”
Dr Steven Howe, British Society for Gene & Cell Therapy Board Member, 2012 LOC Chair and Gene and Cell Therapy for Inherited Metabolic Disease Meeting LOC Chair, London“Clare organised a team of people with assurance and focus. She was always contactable, personable and prompt. The events were a tremendous success and this is, in no small part, down to her commitment and expertise.”
Dr Simon Waddington, British Society for Gene & Cell Therapy Board Member, London
European Society for Gene and Cell Therapy
Oxfordshire“Clare from Azura Events has a great ability to assess her client’s needs and desires to create fun, engaging and unique events that people really enjoy. Underpinning the end result is a robust plan, carefully executed with attention to detail and sound research. Clare strikes a good balance between taking advice and requests from her clients and infusing events with her own ideas and inspiration.”

London“I have worked closely with Clare for over 4 years now (since 2010) in my role as General Secretary for the British Society for Gene and Cell Therapy. Azura Events have provided us with Secretariat services and have been responsible for the organisation of our annual conferences during this time. Our societies’ income has significantly increased under Clare’s management due to her excellent relationship and dogged perseverance with sponsors and exhibitors. I have found Clare to be highly motivated, very personable and extremely organised and have thoroughly enjoyed working with her. I would highly recommend her services to anyone planning an event.”

Joint Annual congress for the European Society for Gene and Cell Therapy and the British Society for Gene Therapy 2011, The Brighton Centre and annual conference for the British Society for Gene Therapy 2012, Institute of Child Health, University College London“Clare was jointly responsible for organising our combined conference with the ESGCT in Brighton in October 2011. Both board members and the general society membership agreed that this was one of the most successful BSGT events ever held. This year, she led the local organising committee for our one-day conference at ICH, London. She was involved in all stages of planning the event from abstract submission to managing the registration desk on the day. Again, the event was extremely successful and resulted in a significant profit for the society. In addition to issues surrounding our annual conference, Clare is responsible for the majority of the administration and paperwork involved in the society. This includes organisation and participation in monthly teleconferences, formulation and circulation of emails to the membership and management of the website. She is exceptionally personable, responds to queries quickly and efficiently and is an excellent first point of contact for the society. We would be more than happy to recommend her services; both for conference organisation and for her general secretariat skills.”

She knew exactly what was needed and when, and kept the scientific organisers on track with their responsibilities. The outcome has been excellent each time. And all done with a smile and a little humour thrown in for free.”
Dr Sara Mole, University College London
BSGCT conferencesI have worked with Clare Beach through several BSGCT conferences, and during her organisation of the BSGCT regular teleconferences. She has the ability to make things run exceptionally smoothly, by creative forward planning and highly efficient organisation. I would say my experience with her has been superior to those with a number of other conference organisers, including that of the European Society of Cardiology, which charged a great deal more for their services. Her ability to help raise sponsorship is also outstanding, and more than pays for her time. I would not hesitate to recommend her for any kind of conference organisation.
